Everywhere I go today, people want to ask me one thing: “Do you know that there’s toilet paper hanging from the bottom of your shoe?”But that’s not relevant for this month’s SubScript article. The question I’m referencing here is:

Adams Insurance Service is proud to be a part of American Subcontractors Association Houston Chapter’s education series.  Our Vice President of Risk Management, Mike Macomber, will present two of these five free 60 minute sessions hosted by industry experts.

Next Wednesday Mike presents ‘Developing Effective Foremen and Supervisors.’   This study is designed to help upper management review the quality of their line supervisors.  We will look at the criteria used to hire or promote your existing line supervisors, and review training concepts and ideas needed.  The one-hour interactive class will include materials covering:

Listening skill development
Communication
What is a competent manager?
Hiring and interviewing
Developing your bench

This program is not designed to teach technical aspects of your business nor legal principles.  It is designed to assist in the development of your line supervisors so that they are better prepared to effectively manage your workforce.

The class will be held at the Adams Insurance Service offices on Wednesday, October 23rd from 2-3pm, and is free for ASA members.  Space is limited, so register now through the ASA website.
