Andy became President of Adams Insurance Service in 2022 succeeding his grandfather, M.G. Adams and his father, Norman E. Adams in that role. 

 

Born and raised in Houston, Texas, Andy likes to say that he has worked for Adams Insurance from birth!  Andy joined the Adams team General Counsel  in 2002 from Bracewell & Patterson where he was an associate attorney in the Labor and Employment section.  Along with Tracy Dacus, Andy is the third generation of the Adams family to operate Adams Insurance as one of Houston's oldest independent family-owned insurance agencies.  Andy holds a J.D. from the University of Texas and a B.B.A. in Economics from the University of St. Thomas, summa cum laude.

Andy serves on the Board of Directors for the American Subcontractors Association-Houston Chapter and is the Chair of its Government Affairs Committee.  He is also Treasurer for the Texas Construction Association.  Andy is a member of Our Savior Lutheran Church, where he serves on several Boards and committees.  Andy married his trophy wife, Amy Barrett, in 2000.  They have been blessed with four children: Bella, Ben, Sam and Livy.

Andy sings vocals and plays the ukulele for Adams' Hootenanny House Band.  Andy loves live music, fly fishing, hunting, visiting National Parks and has visited Disney parks more times than is socially acceptable for a responsible adult.
