Claims Coordinator

Cheryl joined Adams Insurance in 2024 as Claims Coordinator. Cheryl often refers to herself as a “Jack of all trades, and Master of none.” She has over 30 years of professional and philanthropic experience, which is about as unique as it comes.

Cheryl began her professional career as a civil engineer and earned her MBA several years later. Some of the more unique experiences in her professional career were as a land surveyor in western New Mexico and in southern Illinois, as an environmental engineer in central Ohio, and as a director of financial analysis at Enron in Houston. Cheryl has been integral to many philanthropic groups, most notably the co-lead on fundraising and renovation of a local Houston park that was transformed from a barely used and run down space to one of the most popular parks in central Houston.

Cheryl’s greatest accomplishment is her loving family. She and her husband, Jim, were married in 1992 and have two sons. Cheryl enjoys traveling to state and national parks, hiking, reading, tending to her backyard chickens, and caring for her 4 dogs. She loves a good challenge in both her professional and philanthropic pursuits, she enjoys helping others, believes in working hard, and loves calling Texas her home.
