Laura joined the Adams Insurance team in October 2021. She serves as executive assistant and office assistant. Laura began her career as a typesetter/paste-up artist which developed into what is now called a desktop publisher. After 23 years in the field, she went to college and graduated from University of Houston/Downtown in 2008, with a BS Degree in Paralegal/Interdisciplinary Studies. Laura has certifications as an Advanced Certified Paralegal and Certified Administrative Professional.

After 7 years as a paralegal and 6 years as an executive assistant, Laura was fortunate to find her way to Adams Insurance.

Born in Boston, Massachusetts, her mother wanted to escape the cold, so moved the family to Houston in 1976 – mission accomplished!

Laura married Bruce Jackman in 1990. After many years living in Cypress, they moved to northwest Houston to be closer to their daughter Keri, son-in-law Matt, granddaughter Blakely, and grandson Gentry.

Laura loves spending time with her family, scrapbooking, walking, crafting, watching sports (Go Texans, Astros, Rockets, and sic ‘em Bears!), working on puzzles, cruising, listening to 80s music and classic rock, and volunteering for her granddaughter’s Girl Scout troop.
